MultiMultiTouchTouch is custom solution invented by Tim Thompson that offers players any number of arbitrarily-shaped multitouch areas with three-dimensional spatial control. Interaction with this space allows users to control and play virtual synthesizers using nothing but a Microsoft Kinect as the controller.technology. At the end of the video Mark gives MultiMultitouchTouch a try.

This device looks so much fun & makes you think what could be the future of music. Or to be specific sound. I think innovations like this won’t exactly be the part of everyday “music” & “songs” we hear. But this will be such a joy in sound art & specially for the artists who use different technologies for live performances of their soundscapes with live visuals. Just imagine one panel of this routed to a set of visual loops & artists controlling them right away just with gestures & finger controls.

And by the way, first half of video is mostly the interview & explanation. So, if you find yourself bored just jump to 7th minute to hear the real sound.
